The Minister of National Solidarity and Employment, Mr. Jamal Ouled Abbas, launched the International Children’s Exhibition on its opening day, which was the 3rd of November, at the Exhibition Centre in Les Pins Maritimes, accompanied by the Minister for Family and Women’s Affairs, Ms Nouarah Saadiya Jafar. The pair superintended the proceedings of the official opening of the exhibition, which received a big welcome from the public visitors to the A wing. The opportunity allowed for a stop at the Algerian Muslim Scouts section, where the High Minister extolled the gift of the Algerian Scouts, which was represented by its first media publication covering the scouting curriculum, its Islamic education book, which was presented by the Scout Commander Farouk Bouraoui. Many people were impressed by the level which this deeply rooted organisation has reached, considering it a success for the organisation and generally for both children and youths.

The exhibition carried the slogan ‘Education, Citizenship, Environment’, and included the participation of the National Guard, the Fire Department, along with the Ministry for the Environment and the National Institution for Environmental Development, with participants working to highlight the importance of protecting the environment and how to develop a culture of environmental protection in children. Also on display was everything related to the world of children in terms of toys and cultural aids, in addition to educational and sports demonstrations which serve children to the highest order. The events of this exhibition will continue until the 10th of November 2008.
